Primary School Maths Tutoring  //  What We Do

Primary School Tutoring

The ratio is 3:1 where each student is joined by two other pupils at a table with a tutor.

Each table can have different grades being taught at the same time. We promote a hands-on teaching method; where many concepts are reinforced with practical application, in order to allow for full understanding.

Our tutors are all students at university, and need to have taken Maths at Matric level, as well as been trained by us before any teaching can take place.

We encourage a participatory atmosphere and many of our students love coming to their lessons, because they are really treasured and cared for. Our focus is on building strong foundations.

Our motto is “maths is fun” as these young students tend to have an aversion to maths, which prejudice them from attaining important concepts which would benefit them.

SUM-IT-UP follows the school syllabus and gives them appropriate work for their understanding and their grade.

When an inconsistency is found between their knowledge and the work they are doing, we go back to the basics and create a more wholesome understanding.
